Shot Blast and Vibratory Deburring Services
Vendor-managed shot blasting, tumble and pass-through is a process that economically removes loose excess material that remains after trimming. Shot blasting aluminum parts by propelling steel grit or aluminum pellets at high velocity gives them an even, textured surface, providing a “finished” appearance and creating a better bonding surface for painting or coating.
Vibratory deburring is a finishing process in which aluminum components are placed in special bowls or tumblers that cause the parts and abrasive vibration media to rotate and grind against one another. This process removes sharp edges, burrs and other imperfections, while cleaning, polishing and preparing the part’s surface for additional finishing.
